About Taylor

In my career, I’ve lived many lives and followed my passions in a way that’s expanded my toolkit across a number of storytelling mediums and formats. That allows 93rd Street Media to help clients bring any of their ideas to life, since I know the creatives I work with usually have plenty of ideas that span different mediums and genres.  I’ve written about the politics of protest movements at The Atlantic. I’ve been a culture critic analyzing the impact of mostly Black and LGBTQ forward-looking TV, film, music and pop culture as a Culture Staff Writer at VICE. I’ve produced countless podcasts, mostly culture-focused, in any format from chat shows to reported scripted documentary-style shows and even fictional podcasts voiced by actors for clients like Netflix, HBO, SONY, NPR, Pineapple Street Media, Audible and Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit. I’ve done feature film script development and re-writing work for Spike Lee’s 40 Acres. I’ve produced feature film documentaries. And I’ve produced short-form branded content ad videos for some of my favorite start-ups.

I’ve evolved my career by developing and pitching new innovative ideas that take on a life of their own. I’ve sold original audio documentary ideas to HBO and The New Yorker Radio Hour on NPR. The strength of one of my original TV pilot scripts landed me a job developing scripts for Spike Lee’s 40 Acres. And I’m currently in post-production on a feature film documentary about the untold protest and culture history of the Black and hispanic community of my family’s neighborhood, Manhattan’s Upper West Side. I’ve fallen in love with the development process through these positive experiences developing and pitching new ideas.

I started 93rd Street Media originally to house the independent projects I’ve been creating with people who’ve sought my advice on one aspect or another and have since become creative partners. Since these projects have been very creatively rewarding, I’m looking forward to expanding the practice with a wider ranging clientele of new partners and new friends.

I’d love to connect with you about the projects you’re looking to get off the ground. :)
